I’m Dean, the person behind Feeling Creative.

I’ve spent more than 30 years helping brands, organisations and creative teams shape ideas into work people understand, trust and engage with.

Every project starts with questions.

What is this really? Where are we now? Where do we need to get to? If that isn’t fully clear yet, let’s work it out properly. What matters most? What’s realistic? What’s going to be most effective? What kind of experience do we want people to have? And when this is finished, what do we want to leave having achieved?

Sometimes the creativity is in the solution.

Sometimes it’s knowing which questions need asking in the first place.

What if we approached this differently? What if we simplified it? Why can’t this work another way? What are people actually responding to?

I like working closely with people.

Understanding what matters to them, what pressures sit around a project and what the work really needs to achieve.

That understanding shapes the direction.

Creative projects carry real expectations with them.

Budgets, timescales, stakeholders and the trust people place in you to get something important right. Part of the job is finding the balance between ambitious ideas and the real-world pressures around them.

I take that responsibility seriously.

I also believe the process itself should be collaborative, engaging and enjoyable. The best outcomes usually come from people working openly, thinking properly and pushing toward the same goal together.

I work across the full process : From early thinking and creative direction through to the detail, craft and delivery of the work itself. Over the years I’ve worked across entertainment, publishing, education, heritage and family-focused brands, supporting everything from global campaigns and licensed properties to public-facing initiatives and long-term brand systems.

Clients bring me in when something matters When they need creative judgement, practical experience and someone who genuinely cares about getting the outcome right.
