Turning an international pre-school brand into a real-world family experience
Peppa Pig has become one of the world’s most loved preschool brands, entertaining young children and families through television, publishing, toys and live experiences across the globe.
Working with Merlin Entertainments, this project focused on bringing Peppa Pig’s world into physical, immersive attractions designed around how young children will experience and enjoy those familiar locations.
The Aim
Create a complete brand and visual system for a new family attraction that translates a well-loved on-screen world into a physical environment that feels intuitive, recognisable and engaging for young children.
As a long-time trusted partner of eOne / Hasbro, Peppa Pig’s IP creator I have a thorough knowledge of the world and existing systems.
What Needed Solving
The experience needed to feel instantly familiar while working clearly in three dimensions across branding, signage, wayfinding, environments, campaigns and supporting materials.
Everything needed to work together consistently across multiple locations, helping families navigate the experience naturally while supporting future rollout and expansion.
What I Did
I helped shape the identity system, key visuals, graphic language, signage, maps, collateral and comprehensive brand guidelines as part of a joined-up framework.
The focus was on creating a consistent visual language that works clearly at every touchpoint, from first arrival through to the wider in-attraction experience.
Keeping interest and engagement throughout the year was paramount, so I also developed storytelling and seasonal campaign activations for key calendar opportunities.
Result
An experience that feels easy to navigate, consistent across touchpoints and ready to scale internationally across multiple sites and formats. The indoor play centres launched successfully and quickly expanded internationally, later extending into Peppa Pig Theme Parks.
